This project focuses on developing advanced optimization models for improving café operations across multiple scenarios, such as product mix, catering packages, and shift scheduling. The models are designed to maximize profit, improve resource utilization, and optimize staff scheduling while adhering to operational constraints.
Key Outcomes
- Product Mix Optimization: Designed a model to determine the optimal mix of beverages (e.g., cappuccino, café latte) to maximize profit, considering constraints like resource availability and customer demand.
- Catering Packages Optimization: Created a dynamic model to optimize food and drink offerings for events based on group size and type (breakfast, lunch, or coffee break).
- Shift Scheduling Optimization: Developed a model to schedule baristas, minimizing dissatisfaction while meeting staffing requirements using a "misery index."
